I recently acquired a model 50146 46" two stage snow thrower attachment with the 18346 adapter kit that I am installing on my 1668 tractor. Other than some rust from sitting, I don't think the blower has ever really been used. The chute needs cleaned up and painted, but I'll get to that at a later time.

I'll add some photos later and hopefully will get some good video when the snow flies this year. In the meanwhile, I have uploaded a copy of the illustrated parts manual here in case anyone else may need it in the future.

The 50146 46" snow thrower was available for use on larger twin cylinder engine XL-Medium Frame tractors, such as the 1668 and 1669. Also used on the 5000 Series tractors such as the 1700 (5017H), 2000 (5020H), as well as the DuraTrac models and Troybilt GTX tractors.

I finally picked one up this fall. I'd been looking for one of them for 6-7yrs for my 2000 (5020H). Ready to use it this winter. Is it bad I can't wait for 12" of snow fall!?

Well, I'm all ready for the snow.... if it ever arrives. Only got an inch here so far. No fun in that :wallbanging:

A few pictures:

Hooked up to get it into the garage from the shed.

Definitely needs the helper springs installed. The 38" single stage only requires one, this takes two!

Lift bar installed. Still having trouble with one of the front pins.

Should have installed the front PTO kit before installing the blower. It is a pain to work around, but I was already fighting getting the blower on so I did it the hard way and left it on while I installed the PTO kit. Never again :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

The blower didn't come with the chute control hardware. Do I had to adapt an older style chute control rod. Drilled a couple holes and pinned it together. Perfect fit and works perfectly smooth as it should.

Decided to make a rear weight carrier out of some scrap angle iron I had laying around.

Added some much needed counter weight. Concrete blocks, heavy and cheap. 20161209_212339.jpg

Cleaned and rearranged the garage and I'm all ready. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

And all my pictures posted upside down. Can someone please fix that for me?
