This post is a directed at you my friend Doug.(DH1)

Yesterday my wife and daughter came home after picking up that motor(HM80) (thanks again for the $50) from your house.

As I was lifting the motor out of the back of the truck, my daughter yelled, "He's not a Massey guy, there was about 5 or 6 green tractors sitting there, and only 1 red one"

I almost dropped the friggin thing on my foot.

Feeling a bit ferschmecked, I told my daughter, that the good ones are most likely in the garage.
She smiled, and ended up settling down, and had a good nights sleep. All was well this morning.

Doug, I can't help but ask, WTF!

LOL, I believe if they are outside, they are the parts tractors, and some of those parts tractors should be taken in while the scrap price is high lol.

This is what you see outside, inside are the good Masseys.
The 3 wheeler spent the winter outside this year and it started up a month ago without a boost on it's own without to much fuss.

I thought he was an MF guy also you just never know!
The 3wheeler is the main grass cutter, it's an older commercial grade machine and has being a dependable grass cutter for 8yrs now. It takes me 6hrs non stop on it to cut all my grass let alone the neighbors.

The 4 JD300, 316 are all Kohler singles, I only have 2 good mower decks for them, no other attachments, hoping to get 2 of them up and running some day, a 3rd will be going really green, electric powered. The 4th will be for parts???

Oh! that is just sad. I have red /green color blindness myself and enjoy both JD and MF.

This makes me recall an incident with my youngest daughter. She was on a field trip to a local farm and they were going on a hayride. The tractor that was pulling the wagon was a larger John Deere farm unit. My daughter was refusing to get on the wagon. My wife was one of the chaperones on the trip and came over to ask what the problem was. My daughter replied "I'm not allowed to ride on green tractors" My wife relayed the story later that night and I laughed hysterically! I had to explain that it was alright and that some green tractors are OK LOL!

I think they're all great & it's the variety that keeps them interesting.
As for indoor/outdoor machines, do the words "Winter Beater" apply here? :laughingteeth:
Only if you are attacking it with a 10 pound sledge hammer. :laughingteeth:

I would consider most brands of tractors regardless of color. I have missed good deals on Cub Cadets, MTD's and MF's. I grabbed the 314 when it came up locally. It could have been any number of different brands and models. To me, there are many great machines out there new and old of all different colors. The variety is one of the things makes it such an interesting hobby to me.

Not much choice. It's 180 miles to the nearest city that might have a tractor dealer in Canada, so my choices are green or orange from the local dealer 16 miles away, or cross the border for green, orange or red, or a Cub Cadet from TSC, within 35 miles, plus bridge tolls. I also have Sears on both sides of the border, but my measuring stick is a MF1655.
