Nope and nope IMO, $20 tops if you're looking for something to fix up and use, i do like the RER's though for trimming and that big single blade makes for a good light duty bush hog, i use an RER to clean up new hay fields after bush hogging to get the stubble down below my mowing height, if i can drive over a bush i pick the deck up then over the bush i drop it to the dirt and it works great.

I tried looking on facebook marketplace but I unfortunately could not find one for sale for a comparison price. I don’t think that $60.00 sounds toooo bad, but I definitely think the price could be lower. If you really want it though, try offering almost half of that at $35.00. Nothing says he would go for it though. It honestly all depends on how much your budget allows, how you want to spend, and if you plan to restore and keep it in the long run. Is it on facebook marketplace? If it is keep an eye on it to see if the price drops. Please let us know what you decide.

As for collectibility, it depends on who you ask and what you think. Its definitely not a 1969 to 1971 John Deere Custom Color Patio, but to me anything is a collectible. This R92 rer you are looking at I was made in the mid 1980s, here is some information…. https://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/001/9/1/1919-john-deere-r92.html

P.S. I did a little more research and I found this…..

I’m kind of agreeing with 1967craftman on this, that JD is one of those things that would be a great passion project if you like the look of it, (I personally think it’s worth saving, or at least saveable) but it’s also in that gray area of too new to be collectible like the stuff from the 60s and 70s, but most likely too old to be a really reliable and comfy mower, though some just seem to happily run forever with little work. I think if the motor is healthy then that’s worth about what you could pay for it. Thats my 2 cents anyway.
