I have not had the time to be on much as of late.

I have been spending all of my time taking care of my Dad since his new heart valve surgery. Being that he can't drive or lift anything above 10Lbs. I am doing all the things he can't do. Like mowing, tending to the gardens, shopping ect...

And when I am not doing that, I take care of everything for my Nephews Great Grandmother.

I do try and come on here late at night when I get home, but I am usually to tired to reply to posts.

Tomorrow I am taking a little brake. I am going to take my Dad with me to the beach and he is going to hang out while I do some surf fishing. So hopefully I can catch him something to grill up, Either a Blue Fish or Stripped Bass, I might even rig up and catch him some Scup (Porgy) as he likes to throw them in the smoker. No matter what the weather is going to be great and we'll both get a chance just to get away from everything for a bit.

Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know why I haven't been around as much.

Chris

I hope you have a great time with your dad. Mine had heart valve troubles that were corrected last year with a procedure called TAVR. Very interesting process, done via catheters. Was you dad's surgery open-heart, or maybe this TAVR?

His was open heart, The Doctor decided this was the best procedure for his situation. This was also the second open heart surgery my Dad has had. 15 years ago he had a 5 way bypass. He is doing great right now, he is real sore still but he is getting around great! Even the Doctors can't believe how well he is doing!

We had a great time! The weather was so perfect and the sun set was the most amazing I have ever seen!

I decided to just fish for the Scup (Porgy), I lost count how many I caught, At least 20, but I only kept 8 of the big ones.

We got back to his house around 10PM, Lit a fire in the fire pit and cleaned the fish. He was so... happy and kept thanking me for a fun day. That really made my day!

Today we decided to have a cook out at his house instead of going clamming and crabbing. As I type this the Scup are all in the smoker. :dancingbanana:

Chris, last night wife said "what's for dinner" as it was only the two of us at home, two kids are away and the other two were working, and for some reason I've been thinking about seafood all day :D Off to my favorite place (only open Thursday,Friday and Saturday, and next weekend is the last of there season) :( , but the tourist haven't found it yet, we started with chowder and clamcakes and finished with fried clams and lobster
