I have been looking for a Large Frame. This one is relatively close. From the pics can you guys that know LF tell me pros and cons. (I see the exhaust may not be original)

In my personal opinion, that is a very steep price for a 1476. The seller describes it as "restored", but it looks to me to be a quicky paint job with incorrect decals. It is missing the air cleaner; only the air cleaner base is shown in the pics. And a 1476 only has a 14 HP single, so it cannot run things like a two-stage snow blower, or a tiller with full extensions that a higher horsepower twin could.

That said, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so if you like it the way it is and can afford and are willing to pay that much, you could do worse.

I'd say that it's a bit high, but then again, Bolens aren't exactly plentiful; in that area, so maybe it isn't TOO far out of line.

What it all comes down to is how much YOU think it's worth.

I kind of doubt that it will sell on eBay, but you never know.

I do see that he has it on CraigsList though, so maybe he's willing to negotiate.

Your 100% right on this the tractor is priced twice its worth maybe more....

I do run a 48'' tiller on the 1476 it runs fine with it and I have tilled fresh ground to. But it still dont have the power of the twins. :D

I couldn't pay anything near the asking. I like the Wisconsin engines and have been looking for the 1250 through 1477 as my LF.

So it needs correct decals, exhaust, air cleaner, choke cable?

Do you see anything else. What should I be looking for if I go see it.

The hitch looks like something home made?

I don't know why I titled it 1477?

I personally couldn't buy a tractor on E-Bay...There are to many things to consider..I would need to see it ,,,hear it run,, ( It might smoke like a chimney ) ,leak oil or trans fluid ,, Plus it is abit pricey and not all that original with some parts missing and rework done. Looking at the E-Bay add I think I like the H20 under what other people are watching better... Good luck with your'e decision,, I know it can eat at you when you think you have finnaly found THE ONE..... Good luck,,, Choose wisely ...
