Started doing some packing for the big move into the new place, and I have to admit, I didn't realize I aquired so much stuff. Here are some pictures of unloading the sheds, and what has been moved so far. The big grouping that looks like Sanford and Son's backyard is what used to be on the shelving system that I built. I owe a big THANK YOU to fellow member Craig Kline (ckjakline) for his help in getting things moved and packed. Still have a long way to go yet, as far as getting stuff packed, but I'm looking forward to getting it all into the new place, unpacked, and organized. I just have to get the stuff that's sitting outside moved now, so that I can bring out the rest of the tractors still sitting in the shed. Almost wish I would have bought a farm!

Good looking stuff you got there.

Sometime think about moving just to get the chance to sort out the good stuff from the junk stuff but then I think of the old saying one man's junk in another man's treasure.

Troy, I haven't been on much for a while and didn't realize you were moving! Congratulations and I hope you find some hidden treasures while packing ... but just don't loose them again! A friend of mine used to define moving as follows -"It's an agonizing reappraisal of everything you own". I must be seeing things. Is that a blue tractor!!!

How many tractors hitched together can one tractor pull??? How far did you say you moved?
I'm just moving up the street about a half block. I gave some thought about hitching all of them together, and just pulling them all up the street at the same time, with the farm tractor, but as luck would have it, the farm tractor battery is dead. I believe one of my kids turned the switch on while playing one day, and I never took notice of it.

Thanks Brian. We were able to get the house we wanted at auction.

Yes, that is a blue tractor, but it's not what you think. It is a 1971 John Deere 120. The previous owner would touch up scratches with whatever colored paint he could find on his shelf. It don't look like much, but for $35.00, I couldn't turn down the deal.

In the third pic, closest RF, against the wall: I did not realize JD had green 7 Iron decks in the 60's. Or that they had galvanized chute deflectors.......
Cat, that is an original 1963 110 mower deck, that the previous owner has pretty much distroyed. There is so much rebar welded to the deck, that it is virtually twice it's normal weight. Not sure why he fastened the galvanized deflector, as it really doesn't serve a purpose that he intended for it to do.
If you think the mower deck looks bad, you should see the tractor frame. This guy installed grease zerks everywhere! He also drilled extra holes in the dash pedestal, and installed mounting brackets, so that he could attach a self propelled Lawn-Boy push mower to the side of the tractor, just to give him extra cutting width when mowing. I'll have half a year into filling holes and grinding them smooth, when it comes to restoring that tractor.

I seem to be gathering more Silver ones than Blue, Troy. Have you seen my FF20?

I'm starting to feel like a packrat or horder. Nah, still just a collector!
My wife was peeking over my shoulder. She wants to know your wife's opinion on your last comment.

(she's gone, she made me do it. threatened to withhold the molasses cookies. Or was it the peanut butter cups? choc-covered cherries? ginger snaps? Pfeffernüsse? it was one of those)

My wife constantly reminds me that all my stuff requires more work for me!
What would we do without our man toys?

Cat, my wife is still at work, and hasn't seen the collection out there yet. If you don't hear from me by Tuesday night, please send paramedics!
