I picked up an MF14 parts tractor in the hope that I can mount the Hi/low transaxle on one of my Bolens. It came with a 3 pt hitch on the back that looks to be homemade? Any thoughts?

Agree with ckjakline Its home-made.

Cylinder is correctly mounted

Here is what a Massey 3 pt for the MF14 and MF16 looks like

Wheel Tire Green Automotive tire Tread

Tire Wheel Automotive tire Motor vehicle Tread

I was missing the cylinder so I used what I had but mounted everything correctly including the top float piece

Uses same cylinder as the lift

He says he used it for years until getting a newer tractor. I'll probably throw it on epay. Would $100 plus shipping be fair?

is that 100 bucks for rest of tractor minus the rear end and tires or just the 3 pt
I thought we were talking about the 3 pt. I wouldn't want to try and ship the tractor frame.

If you are willing to part out the mf14, I have a few interests. To start, depending on condition I may be interested in the drive shaft, and the hood.

Wish you were closer. I have the transaxle you need already out and would love to have that chassis.

It may have value to someone if it will fit Cat 0 3pt equipment.

Previous owner could have made his own attachments and Cat 0 may not fit

If hoses and cylinder are good they should be worth something

Ask 100 bucks or best offer and see what happens, worse thing I can think of is you don't sell it

New hoses cost me 130 Canadian dollars for my Massey MF14 last summer

There are people willing to pay to have that frame shipped if price is right, I am amazed at what people do, people are very interesting

I'll be interested in selling anything I can off this. Sadly, the PO cut the driveshaft. Sold the engine and didn't see any need to be gentle... I will take a look and see what else may be worth parting out.

Yep pretty much a cobble job. The lift links are just some Home Depot turn buckles. What else do you have?

Rough old gal. Hood has a screw through the metal and is missing the front trim, grill has a hole added for an exhaust pipe, dash is chipped, seat has Craftsman stamped in the vinyl... The steering assembly is nice, but more hassle to remove than it's worth. Main lift cylinder looks like a good match for my snow plow and I am pretty sure the hi/lo transaxle can be modified to fit a Bolens that I'm prepping for a FEL. Really only leaves that homemade hitch...

If your planning on parting out I'd be interested in that hydro lift lever. Send me a PM I'm still trying to figure how to work it. It may take me a couple of days to respond but I will. Thanks.

Had a chance to study the transaxle with it sitting next to a Bolens.Making the swap would involve rebuilding everything-- drive and brake linkage, frame mounts, drive shaft and all. If I knew the gears were going to last for years it would be worth doing. My luck, it would soon need a pinion... Am thinking I should sell the Sundstrand 15 and keep the tires. Was able to sell the 3 pt and steering column. Not out anything but my time.

I have a few MF14 parts available in northern Michigan: Hi/Lo transaxle, Sundstrand 15 hydro unit, lift lever, and lift cylinder. Another member wants the front spindles, so I figure it is time to finish stripping this and have it gone. Please send me a private message with what you need. Thanks, Paul.
