As Olcowhand said, the MF1450/1650 decks are expensive to repair, if at all.

When I got my 1450, I decided to avoid that, and altered the mule drive, and mounting

brackets for a

MF14 deck, to fit the 1450. It's been working great for about 5 years now.

Somewhere in here, is a thread I did about that alteration. It wasn't a big deal.

It's probably easier for you to find a good MF14 deck, rather than a 1650 one.

Like to add grease zerks to the Arbor shaft while I'm in it replacing bearings I've also noticed that parts are extremely hard to find for these but it's a stud of a tractor I use it to pull small stumps and all kinds of stuff around are little farm

The brgs and seals are common ,any brg supply will have them in stock. If your pulleys and belts are good then just pull the arbor apart and replace. Like you mentioned be careful taking them apart. The brgs come out from the top so does the shaft. Snap rings on both the shaft and the brg. Grease fitting can be added just make sure you figure out where the space is between the two bearings and drill your holes. { the jerks will end up being on the underside of the deck}

I matched up bearings and seals for mine from Motion Industries. They are commonly available.

Have you, found a solution to your your 1650 deck issues? I am toying with the idea of changing the existing timing pulleys with ones from Maska or similiar HTD sprockets. I am going to look at this later this summer, in figuring an easy way in twinning the center timing sprockets. I am currently am using a Murray 42 inch mower deck on the MF1650.

To change to "un-timed" blades is more involved. Larry, aka "massey driver" wrote an article on how he modified his 54" 1655 deck to normal V-belt driven deck. You can read it HERE.
