If anyone remembers,i was working on a 990 Dayton for my brother a few months ago. Turned out the hydro pump was scrap. So me being me, I talked him into buying a MF. I found him a great deal on this 2000 MF 2514. No engine, but he had a yard pro with a twin 16 magnum in it. So I swapped it over into this one. And got it running tip top. These tractors have no hydraulics or even a lift handle for the deck. He had a MTD snowthrower he kept off the 990. And I built a jackshaft to keep the belt aligned and a custom mount for the marriage of the 2. Went to princess auto and picked up a electric cylinder and switch and hooked it all up. Finally buttoned it all up today and loaded it onto the trailer for delivery tonight. Everything seems to work well and as I was hoping. Lol. Not much snow here to test it, but what we do have,it seems to blow well.

Thanks Doug, nice little tractor, but surely not built like the old ones. I'm kind of glad it's leaving. Been in the shop too long.even though it is a Massey.

Great job and I would say your very talented. Same thrower that's on a MF 12, other than the drive part. I was wondering thou, you have down pressure to lift the wheels of the ground, so how does the thrower float. Up and down over uneven surfaces. Just wondering.

Looks like it belongs there now. Who makes those, Simplicity? Kinda looks like the Toro one I played with last year, kinda MTDish? No lift? How did it do that for mowers and such? I could see manual lift and turn blade, have some of those, but what about deck? Think that Toro had some sort of cable lift from dash down to the deck. Like that? What happened to the 990? Hope you didn't junk it!

Noel, thanks and his driveway is flat so no need for a float and it's only @150ft drive. So we didn't see a need for a float in the system.

Glgrumpy, this is a Simplicity build massey. The deck has its own lift mechanism built onto the deck itself. I think it looks great too. The MTD got handed to me in partial payment. So yes, if anyone needs parts. I have some here that I would love to get rid of. Lol.
