Plant Tree Wheel Land lot Grass Took the day off work. Temperature is in the low 80's and low humidity. So naturally I had to paint some parts. I had this idea about bypassing the door switch on the clothes dryer and making a free standing rack to insert in and quick dry the parts. { Wife had no sense of humor about that or using HER oven.} So needless to say the parts are hanging out to dry in front of the man cave. Most of the little stuff is done. Now on to the big stuff. I told my grandson the hood, seat, and wheels will be the first thing most people look at, so he needs to pay extra attetion to them. here's some pics. Rick.

That was a good thing to get done on your day off. Are you taking tomorrow off, too?

Looks great. Nice job on the painting.
Is the grill supposed to be yellow?
I thought it was supposed to be polished Aluminum.

I don't have a clue what color any of it should be. I matched up as best I could to the color underneath the seat spring which appeared to be the least faded. In the process of cleaning and paint remaval I found two colors of yellow, one blue and one red. The hood and grill assembly having all four colors. I intend to keep it all yellow with black accents on the fenders, and hopefully the correct decals on the hood and rear of the fender/box assembly. Rick

This brochure in the manuals section shows the MF7E.

I haven't found any factory original pictures of the 8E, but by comparing my 8 to the 7 in that brochure, I'd say
the color scheme was the same for both, other than the later model 8Es had black steering wheel.

Did you install new axle seals in the transaxle? I have a leaky one and haven't ever checked out how hard the job may be or if the right seal can be found. I just fill 'er up once a year with gear lube!

I have been sidtracked for a few weeks and haven't been able to be on here. The pics of the dissasembled machine are very interesting! Mine has a couple of coats of slightly different yellow on it and the previous owners taped off the decals.
As a last resort I could probably make accurate looking stickers for you but they would have to be applied in layers.
Check to see if printed or silkscreened decals are available first.

I hope you and Trent are having fun with this!---DAC

I finally got around to sending off pictures and dimensions to my decal guy. I need a set for my 7E, and another for the 8E. I also want an extra set, just
in case.lol I should find out soon, how much he wants to make them. I'll let you guys know, and maybe we can get the cost per set down, if you're interested.

MFDAC Yes I installed new seals. One popped right out, the other was s%&*##&* to remove. I searched through the AGCo Parts Books site, and found their part number and the actual dimensions. Took that info to the local bearing supply dealer. Five minutes later I had apair of new seals. Trent has been AWOL for a while. Seems as if Football and
Girls are getting in the way.

IamSherwood Just might be interested in decals. Thanks for thinking of the rest of us.

IamSherwood YES, I am interested. If you get enough takers count me in. Just let me know the logistics of payment and shipment.
Thanks, Rick
