Started the tear down on the MF12. There is a lot more work needed than I was hopping for. The plastic dash may be beyond fixing but I'll try. Lots off wear and play in parts. I repaired the nose piece and got a spare hood done. It didn't turn out too nice, some orange peal to the paint, but the hood had bad pitting in some spots. I'm saving the original hood for another project as It still has the light nockouts intact. I'm not a good paint and body man at all. I had commented earlyier in another post about using Dupli-Color's adhesion promoter for plactic's. I used it on the nose trim and it semed to work good. I didn't have the "pooling" of the paint like I had in the past. Since this MF12 has a 16hp Tec. engine, a steering wheel from a 1450 or 1650 I belive (I don't know as the serial number is the first of the last model change for the 12's), the narrow front wheels from a Cub 110 ? and this will be my main work horse, I am painting it a differnt color, not Massey red. Oh NO! Don't worry it will be Massey Yellow like It's big brothers i.e. the MF165 in Industrial yellow. I wanted to make headlight bracket's for the grill but really don't have the tallent, Maybe later on. I'll post some pictures so far.
