Hydraulic fluid is leaking from my transmission filter. There is a Fram automobile filter in place there. Is there a differance between regular auto filters and a hydraulic filter? My tractor calls for a #1043369m1 filter which is not installed.:confuse:
Yes definitely. there are Micro rating that are finer than what you would fine in Auto filters.
I am a Fleetguard nut and expect the 16 would need the same micro rating as the 16 and 1855 series.
these filter are rated at 10 micron.
Let me see if I can cross that MF # to Fleetguard.
This should be your filter. Same one I use on the 16 and 1855. Also fits the Snapper with the Eaton hydro. A little bit longer but not a problem. http://www.cumminsfiltration.com/ca...e=Hydraulic, Spin-On&partflag=0¤tPage=1
Hey Ducky, any experience with the spin-on filters from hydro-gear? I called around & the 2 people that knew what I was talking about wanted $30 & $35 respectively for the filter. I found (and ordered) one on e-bay for $16.35 after shipping, but will need another one "200 use-hours" from now. original pt# 142912 Hydro-gear replacement # 51563 I tried the Cummings link & the 2nd # crosses - wrong filter.

This is the filter I use and it is a direct cross of the # you gave us.
Not sure on the price but I think it was $15 or $20 coconuts.
