I would like to build the 3pt hitch that was optional to the MF7E, while working
on the tractor resto.
So far, the only info I can find are the pics below. Not much to go by.

Does anyone have any ideas, visual aids, or know of any better info/pictures, that
I might be able use to tackle this project.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

I got all excited there for a minute, when I saw your pictures.
2nd and 3rd last have a plow on the back. Once I enlarged them, I realized that
it was a 8exec.
It used a different lift system. Very similiar to the MF10/12. Pic below out of
MF8E manual.

Maybe I should look around in the Moto Mower world too, as Dura corp, made both
at the same time.

Oh, Doug, any idea where you found that first picture?

Thanks

Hey Will, if you need a dimension for the sleeve hitch mounting bracket, I have a friend with a Motomower that has the bracket, but no hitch.

I wonder if ya have to remove the parking brake to use the sleeve hitch? Looks like they occupy the same space.

Yes, absolutely Casey. Anything will be helpful.

Are you refering to the setup in post #3 ? That's for MF8E. But that's OK, as I want to build one of them as well.
Thanks

No, I don't think so. If you look at the first picture in this thread, just below his left knuckles, you can see
the black rubber handle of the parking brake.

Yes, that's the setup I am referring to. However, he is in Iowa and his tractors are in PA lol.

Thanks to member Craig (Ckjakline), who found this info.
I should be able to scale things up from this, and get fairly close to reproducing
it. Could be a bit tricky, drilling those 2 square holes. I guess I better get a couple
new files. Any ideas on where to find those thumb nuts?

Try Mc Master-Carr. They have a lot of those type of knobs on the web site. There is a Japanese company that makes a drill bit that drills a square hole. I saw a video of it some where. Very interesting but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if I remember right.
If you are talking about the square hole in the lift arm get a piece of square tubing and weld it in some round tubing. Weld the ends so it looks like it is solid. Cheaper than a square drill bit.

Thanks for that Mcmaster Carr idea. I'll check them out.
Re square holes, I was refering to the ones in items 16 and 17. What you suggest for the handle, is what I had in mind for that square.

I gotta take a look around for that square hole drill video.

Yes, trying to copy the original, from what info is posted here in this thread. I think I've got the
top link to long right now. Needs to be shortened at the tranny end I think.

Pictures are still on the walls, you just got to look higher.:smile1:
