I picked this one up last Oct. as part of a package deal.
The other items where MF8G repowered, w/deck/snowblower, and a homemade
3pt(linear actuator) and plow/disc/cultivator.

The MF7G is in pretty good shape. It's been repowered with what looks to
be a Tecumseh HM80. (according to the shroud)
If someone can verify that it's a HM80, by the pics, that would be helpful.

I got it fired up, and took it for a drive, before I started to tear it down.
Had to run it with choke 1/2 on. Carb job due, but engine sounds good.
Going to have to do something about the loud exhaust. Tranny seems good.
It's been cobbled together a bit as seen in the pictures, but nothing that
can't be rectified. (coil mout/battery tray/voltage reg not connected/toasted)
The hood was cut a bit to make the repower fit, but it's not butchered.
Deck sounded fine, but I'll tackle that after the tractor.

This will be my rainy day spring project. I'll post as go.

If the weather keeps up, you may have it done by next week! That's a nice looking candidate! Great start on it too.

This morning it was 15c, and at noon it dropped to 3c, and we had a few snow flakes.

The H70, 7hp has the exhaust port on the pto side of the crank.
The HM8o, 8hp has the exhaust port on the flywheel side of the crank.
So you have the HM80 or maybe the HM100???

Ok, so it's a HM__. I guess the only way to confirm whether it's a 80 or 100
is to measure the bore?
Or is there another way.
I was planning on pulling the head off anyways, to clean up in there, so I'll order
the right head gasket then.

Yeah, it's coming apart real easily. Whoever had it before, must have been wrenching it
regularily, because most of the alterations they did look like duct tape and bailing wire
fixes, hence they'd be back at it a week later.
