The carb is still surging, but the best way to clean these carbs out is with seafoam/injector cleaner in the fuel (alot of it) and running it under a load. I'm going to put the 25x10-12 ITP 589s on the rear and 4.00-8 tri-ribs on front, These Bolens wheels are 3.75" across versus most front wheels that are 5 or 6 inches wide. The tri-ribs are almost 2 inches taller than the the 16x6.650-8 that were on it and the ITPs are 2 inches taller in the rear, That will raise the whole tractor 2 inches and give me better clearance, plus look awesome.

On my bigger tractors I use a 10" tall by 4" wide 4 bolt steel implement wheel, 10 inch tri-ribs, and billet aluminum hubs, but you cant buy the wheels any longer, I bought the last 4 sets I know of. On the smaller frames like the Allis/Simplicity 700/7000, Case 200s, and Bolens Tube frames I'll use the 3.75" wide narrow rims found on older tractors and when you use a 4.00-8 tri-rib the narrow rim squeezes the tire taller about 17-18 inches. ANY 16x6.50-8 tire will hardly make 15 inches tall, if you want more of a turf tread the 5.70-8 tire is even taller with a narrower 5 inch tread, about 1-1/2" narrow than the 16x6.50-8s and about 3 inches taller. I like the extra ground clearance and ease of steering and it makes the tractor look even better

When you use those Taller front tires do you have a problem with them rubbing the frame when the steering wheel is cranked all the way?

Not at all, they are 20.5 inches tall and I have them on 3 different tractors, my buddy couldn't find the 10 wheels and he used 12 inch wheels/tires and they dont rub either at 21-3/4. It really makes the tractor sit level and higher, great for dirt work, and its almost like power steering
