Time for the annual spring tune up, oil change ,etc. It has weekly mowing duties at my M.I.L. 's , the old boy is closing in on 1000 hrs, never misses a beat, that Briggs is bullet proof (IMO) always starts, doesn't leak or use oil, has been properly maintained and cared for, it is probably my favorite Bolens grass cutting machine, I prefer it to the Duratrac hands down. Cleaned it up waxed it (say whaaa). Pics.

What a nice machine! Is it fully original? If so, it is in amazing condition for those hours!

I like the shot of your others in the background too!
Thanks. It has 26x12x12's on the back and 18x6.50x8's on the front and the seat is from a '90's Kioti, other than that it's original.

I actually performed maintenance and mowed with it yesterday. Today was bath , here's the lawn today Couple pics :

Thanks for posting, looks like a great tractor.

I'm curious, why/what about do you like better/over the Duratrac's?

And, when you put on the larger tires did you change the wheels? if not, any issues putting the larger tires on the narrower wheels?

(I'm considering the same thing on my new to me GTX 20.

This posts has mine and others thoughts on the Duratrac, I don't believe 26x12x12's will fit on the Duratrac I think I tried ,those on mine are 24x12x12 (Carlisle Chevron 101's) on the rear and I did have to go with a wider rim , and I also went next wider tire than stock on the front. I want to say I had to go to 8" wide rims on the rears but I don't remember, I purchased the tire and rims from: (several years ago)

Most of my criticism's of the Duratrac centered around the 60" deck (IMO) that came with mine was too big and too heavy for the tractor, the 48" deck (again IMO) was better suited albeit not as HD as the 60" in all aspects. The other PITA is the Kolher Magnum engine and the frigging Oruga electric clutch documented in the aforementioned post.
Your GTX has the Kohler Command engine I believe and in IMO a better engine.

Thanks, ya, mine has the Command engine and 48" deck, has 365 hrs on it now, and I'm kinda waiting for the elec clutch to give up.

My tires are good except 2 are leaking, and one of those is new from the PO.

I need to repair the deck chain links and do some maintenance and then think about a 3 pt.
