Well, getting ready for spring and remembered what pain the pto shaft for the tiller was, was being the key. I had a 7/8 13 tooth spline on the tractor, this odd spline was a pain, can't get anything to couple to it with out re-inventing it. So I did the next best thing...... Made it standard! 1" 15 tooth spline!
A few pics of my progress so far.

Bottom shaft is what I had, top one I made.

Left bearing is new for the larger shaft.

And the bearing pocket opened up for the new bearing. Only a new keyway needs to be cut in the hardened gear on the wire EDM and its done.
Should work until the new box is done with 3 different shaft configurations

Cool stuff there. Must be nice having the 'tools' to make stuff like that.

I could've if needed, but didn't have to as you can buy splined blanks, and that's what I did, just had to do everything else.

Ok finished up the shaft and gear and re-assembled the box, all that's left is grease and re-install .

Cutting in the woodruff key slot

And all assembled ready for grease and the re-install.
