Welcome to GTTalk! You should be able to get a replacement seal at a industrial supplier that sells seals. If you take it with you they can determine the size and should be able to come up with a replacement. Many MF parts are still available through Agco dealers. I think the parts books are at http://www.agcopartsbooks.com but I haven"t been there for a while. You can go in as a guest if you don't want to register. The site used to be fussy about what browser you used. Not sure if it still is.

Welcome to GTT. Post a topic with MF12 in the title (bait) and you'll attract the MF fans. Notice that you can add search topics when you start a new a new topic. Pics are strongly encouraged. JDBrian above is correct. You can also try a NAPA. Good Luck

Glad you joined, can't wait to see pics of the herd.
The software has a setting that limits new members in their downloads per day slightly until they have hit 10 posts. Then it relaxes a little. It's based on size of download, and the service manuals tend to be very large.

Good luck on your hunt. As suggested above, starting a separate topic on the seal in the Massey Forum may get you the info you need.

Welcome to the forum! There are several MF experts on the sight and you will find many others that are willing to help. My first GT that got me started in this addiction was a MF10. They are great GT's! Like the others have said, we like pictures!

Hi, Welcome to GTT.
As said, we really like pictures.
That Agcopartsbooks.com site is an invaluable tool.
You maybe should double check, but the seal you're looking for, I believe, is item#15, part# 833909M1.
It's available from Jack'ssmallengines.com for $6.80. You'll probably get it at your local MF dealer too.

As for dates of your machines, there is a "Pinned" serial # listing in this MF Forum.

Don't forget the pictures.

Welcome to the site, good to see another New Yorker. I'm near Buffalo and have a 1972 MF12 with deck and tiller and an 1855, both are well built machines. You will find a wealth of knowledge here for sure. and some pics would be nice.
