The last HT-23 I bought has been sitting on jack stands in the middle of my garage for MONTHS !! My own fault. Now it's time to get er done. Rear tires were in great shape, AG's made by Carlisle. Fronts where ATV knobbies that were only 2 ply and dry rotted.

I ordered a set of 18X8.5-8 6 ply trailer tires off of E-bay. Went with the 6 plys since I plan on putting the Johnson Loader on this tractor. $99.00 shipped to my door. I think that is a decent price. Now I just have to sandblast and paint all 4 rims and get them mounted. So at least I can move the tractor around.

I also ordered a set of 4 ply Deestone turf tires for my other HT-23 since they are dry rotted badly.
Those were $79 for the pair including the shipping.

Not bad prices

Definitely beats the $189.29 shipped that I paid for a set of 18x8.50-8 V61 HD 5-Rib 6 Ply tires that I put on the HDT1000.

In fact I got the REAR tires (26-11-12 CST Anclas) for less than the fronts, $177.98 shipped.

Good prices on both sets of tires. I'm painting some rear rims right now. I always find it a time consuming job especially with the tires on them.

Sounds like a nice deal. I have seen so many used tires on CL only to find out the side walls are rotted. I'm beginning to believe new is the best way to go.

Tires came in, but I haven't had time to sandblast and paint the rims yet.

I HAD to move the HT-23 to be able to get a 600 lb reel of Steel Clad wire off of a shelf 8' above the floor. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374421349.040561.jpg

So with no wheels or tires on it, I improvised Thankfully Big Joe handled it just fine. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374421430.609146.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374421451.697053.jpg

This sure will come in handy when it's time to paint the tractor.
