I found this over on MTF, the owner wasn't sure what it was worth or if it was even worth saving. It was one of their father's tractors and they are cleaning up unused stuff. The tractor is a 1053 that is in good condition for it's age. I noticed a few small problems but nothing major. I was told it last ran 3-4 years ago. I tried starting it today but it wouldn't fire. I'll dig into it another day. The best part in my opinion is the two spray cans. One is still sealed from the factory and the other was used very little.

Nice original looking tractor - does not appear to be modified much. Thank you for sharing - hope the 1053 I got this summer looks as good some day.

Put a ignition module on it in place of the points and it will be a great engine if all else is good to go. Nice looking tractor. Those decks do a real nice job of mowing, especially on rough ground. Narrow enough it stays even and looks nice when your done.

It would be nice if the paint was still good and maybe get it matched so other guys could have a way to match the paint codes?
That is a possibility. The can of beige paint is bad, the paint is solid inside. The brown might be worth trying, it's never been opened.

Nice Save!!

Strange they had cordovan paint when they had a 1053???

Possibly had another machine?
I have no clue, the owner wasn't sure either. He said it could have came with the tractor when his father bought it used.
