Picked up a MF1200 last weekend. From the 1200 and it's engine numbers it's a 1977. Has the rear discharge deck and came with a front dozer blade ( only the blade itself is origanal part ). There is not much info out there on the 1200 that I can find. Changed the oil in the rear axel put in a fluel shut off valve, got the brakes working and the front head lights and the throtle. Put new pins in the mower blades and welded back on the the spindle shrouds, repared the front roller on the mower deck. Runs great, steers wonderful but takes the south forty plus the neabors to make a left turn. Wheel Tire Automotive tire Vehicle Motor vehicle Tire Wheel Vehicle Hood Automotive tire

Congrats, nice solid looking MF. Don't see many of those here either. We see a few of the 1450 and more of the 1650 and 16/1855 tractors. I think there is some info in the Manuals Section on those.

I took a quick look and it appears to be just a design issue, I can't see any problems with the steering. It actually steers very easy.
