i picked this mf10 up at the scrap yard. im a wheel horse guy but i was unloading some steel out of my truck when i saw the front end loader go buy heading for the compactor dumpster with this in its bucket. So i ran and flaged him down. long story short i picked it up for what i had in my truck prob 45.00 worth of steel. i know nothing of masseys but i thought they looked cool.

i got it running today. it will need a little carb work but man they built these things soild. i dont know why people scrap things like this its a great machine that just needed a little TLC. i might build a cherry picker for the front so i can use it to move things around but no worries i dont change anything that cant be returned back to stock. thanks for looking

It doesn't take much to make some people give up on a piece of equipment. They just don't have the knowledge or temperament to deal with mechanical problems.

Yours was a nice find.

You got a good deal.People don't know how to work on these anymore. They don't want to waste time or money on old stuff. They want new. Some people just get tired of seeing it sit around and just take it to the scrap yard.

You got a great deal on a great tractor. They are very pretty machines. I would put the picker on the back because it can handle more weight. Good Luck, Rick

Very nice save. I was thinking you might find the spark module bad, that would be enough to prompt most people to throw it away. Very good catch, thank you for saving it.

Nice to see another one saved from the scrap pile.

You'll really like that Vari-drive system. Those 10s are great. One of my favorites.

If you've got any questions, just ask. Us Massey guys will be more than happy to

help if we can.

thank you im sure i will have a ton of questions. i got it pulled most of the way apart to see what it needs and do a little fixing here and there. it needs some work on the front axle piviot and the starter other than that i pulled most of the tins sanded them down and repainted them i didnt get to fancy because #1 with a 3mounth old baby i dont get to much garage time and i need to get my jeep done and #2 i want to use it soon. so im going to give it a good going through and a quick repaint to keep rust at bay and make it look good untill i really have time to tear all the way down and blast then do a nice repaint. I will post pics soon
