I just recently purchased a Jaques Mighty Mite tractor and am trying to identify the type of hitch it has on the drawbar. Can someone please help me identify what type of hitch is on the tractor? The attached image is not of my tractor, but is of one that is identical to the one I just picked up.

Hard to be definitive with that small pic, but it appears to be a proprietary hitch. One that's unique to that tractor/series.

Almost all of the garden tractors had proprietary hitches and until the sleeve hitch was developed, you were locked in to using their attachments.

There were some manufacturers that would make attachments for multiple brands using each brand's hitch, but that was not very cost effective.

With the sleeve hitch, the manufacturers could make just the one hitch type that could be used across all tractor brands that had a sleeve hitch available for them.

Thanks for the quick response on this. I appreciate the insight. I knew that it was made prior to the development of the sleeve hitch, but just want sure if there was anything common prior to that. Sounds like I'll just need to be creative in coming up with a solution :)

I did a Google search and found a better pic of that hitch.

Looks like you could fab up a sleeve hitch adapter for that without too much problem.

Just bolt it on using the holes in the drawbar.

That would allow you to move it to the side if necessary to line up the plow with the right tire if get a sleeve hitch plow.
