That looks good. Should provide extra support/strength for the deck.

Got the bottom plate finished. Also got the patch smoothed. Plus I like posting pictures... obviously.

Welded the wheel bracket back on, the welds aren't the prettiest but they are far better than the boogers that I ground off. Cleaned up the top for paint and then POR'd the bottom. Also got the wheels cleaned up and primmed. Now I'm off to source some new sealed bearings for the rear wheels.

I think you are going to be very happy with this deck. Looking good!

Got the bottom side painted and now the top has it's first coat on. Should be ready to assemble real soon! Then I can move on to my next project... putting the 682 back togerther!

Getting the deck back together and figured I couldn't hang it by that old nasty looking hanger... So I'm freshing it up a little. I'm kind of surprised at the lack of grease zerks on the hanger frame. I'm thinking of drilling some holes and installing my own. I guess it's held up this long though. Oh and I'm also repainting the engine shield tins.

The mower frame is put back together, I'll touch-up the paint after it's mounted. The engine tins are painted and ready to put back on. I decided to go ahead and change out the hydro fluid. Soon as I popped the cover there was a little bit of water that came out. The rear looks good though. Got the front tires on the rims, and got them painted.

Looking great!!! The differential appears to be in very good shape. The hydro oil doesn't look half bad either.

Thanks guys. I was going to change out the filter but it is STUCK. I tried ever trick I know to get it off but it won't budge. I'm going to just pull the whole rear end out tonight so I can get the filter better. While it is out I will clean it up, paint it and plus look at the truniun since it is a bit loose.

nice rebuild, that tractor looks nice, I so want an 82 series...just because. :D

I too like the heavy rust primer, got use it thin though as it builds pretty quick and can glob.

I decided to clean up the grill so I stripped off the old paint, polished up the aluminum, masked off the silver parts and painted. Put the front wheels back on.

I cleaned and primed the brake parts, they'll be painted tomorrow.
