Holy smokes, that;s a neat pair you got there, the reel has a Briggs 5S, 22 inch cut, the rotary looks to have a Clinton VS200, 18 inch cut.

Savage Arms was founded in 1894 by Arthur Savagee in Utica, New York Within 20 years they were producing rifles, handguns, and ammunition. Savage merged with the Driggs-Seabury Ordnance Company during World War I and produced Lewis machine guns In 1920 Savage bought Stevens Arms. After the war it begain making mowers, reel type first then rotary.

They also claim to have made the first motorized lawn mower.

Ok that make sence I was trying to connect the dots and they ran into outerspace
it looks just like the Pincor motor even with the cover over the points .With that

To me, the vertical shaft engine looks to be a Briggs. Sand along the side edge of the shroud by the carb and see if you can come up with some numbers.

I have a 1949 model Savage Arms Motorized Reel Lawn Mower and I am looking for parts for the body. It has a working Briggs and Stratton 5 S engine and I need to know if anyone knows where I might find, for example, wheels.

Thanks,

Lawrence
