My uncle is getting ready to sell his Snapper 1855 and he was wondering what is a good asking price.

1974 Snapper 1855
20hp Onan Engine
60" Mower Deck
Rear Blade
Plow
Disc
Culitvator
Vinyl Cab
Wheel Weights
Rear Tire Chains
48" Snow Blower - Doesn't work as the PTO shaft from the gear box to the outer drive is busted. U-Joint went out, modified to work the rest of winter and then broke again. Everything else is still with the blower and in working order.

I know these are hard to come by so deteriming a price is difficult. Tractor runs well and everything works as far as I know besides the snowblower. Mower hasn't been used in awhile, but it worked last time it was on the tractor. He used it primarily in winter for blowing snow. Since the snowblower is broke and we can't find replacement parts, he is looking to sell it. Located in Michigan

Any help would be appreciated.

A local lawn and garden dealer had a used one on his lot last fall. It was complete and nothing looked broken but it was painted some red/orange color and not a very good job at that. He wanted $1895.00 for it and it was gone before winter. All it was was tractor and mower.

AFAIK on the MF/Snapper 1855 the biggest mower is a 54" and the engine is 18hp. Same mower from the MF/Snapper 1655
Probably a repower Onan P220, the same as my 20 hp 1655.

One of the options for the MF1855 way back in 1977, when they first came out, was a 60" mower deck. I haven't seen any and have only heard about 2 or 3 on the forums.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

My dad used to own it before he sold it to my uncle. I asked him the other night and he was also pretty sure it was a 20hp. He did think it was replacement engine for the original. Either way, still runs good.

The deck maybe a 54". It has been awhile since I have seen it. I will say it was in pretty good shape since the tractor has been mainly used to move snow.

If he can't sell it locally first, you may see it in the classifieds.

Thanks again.
