I don't know what type of Cancer your dealing with, but you can beat it. I have been cancer free for over a year now, just really getting to feel like my old self with work and thing, but I'm alive and finally able to get into the tractors more now, I will be PRAYING for you!!
And I would follow Ducky's post above to solve your issue, Good Luck..
So I first made sure the hub nuts are tight still movement Then took the wheels off and the shaft moves in and out less than 1/4 inch but movement is there it moves both sides when I do this from either side also with the brake applied the axle still turns but the disc brake is applied and adjusted properly So is it both outer bearings or should I check the side that obviously needs the seal replaced as it was all greasy dirty around the outer housing and inside the rim of the tire I do have another rear end but the ear for the 3 point is busted on the right side I could take the housing off the one in the tractor as it is the side that leaks There are also some shaft housings up for sale on ebay Just looking for the easier fix Thanks for any input
Someone has had this apart at sometime the hub off anyway and didnt replace the seal as i did today Looking at the manual it shows in 4-15 that shims are used to eliminate end play between housing and hub
On the two MF 1655 's that I used to have both of them had a bit of in and out movement as well. When I replaced the rear seal on one of them I was able to just buy a seal from the auto parts store. Also had to replace one Bearing. This is what I used
Rear Brg: NSK R18 [shallow deep groove brg ]
Rear seal : National 481792 [ 1.125 x 2.125 x 0.250 ]
Hope this helps you to get the parts before tearing it apart.
