Some mystery pictures of machines behind my back fence

These are just a couple of the many, many, items that I can see over my back fence. I need to talk with the guy and see if he would let me take a closer look. The machine, in the first picture, I thought might be a welder. After taking the picture, I see that it has a steering wheel.... maybe a three wheeled machine of some sort?? Looks like a pretty good sized engine, whatever it is. The second picture (red machine) I'm guessing may be a David-Bradley, walk-behind?? If you look at the side of the hood, right to the left of the steel fence post, it looks like the letters DA are there.

Drool.......
Does this guy have field trip days???:smile1:
You'd have to have a guided tour, or you might not be able to find your way back out! I've lived here for almost 30 years and didn't realize what was sitting there. In the summer you can't see most of it, because of all the underbrush and trees. I helped the guy pull one of his tractors out of a mud hole years ago. You would not believe how much "stuff" is back there!!
When is the "American Pickers" van going to pull up?
Hey,could be some good stuff there.:rofl2:
The one looks to be a David Bradley 2 wheel tractor as you said. That other is a 3 wheeled mower, maybe an early Yazoo or similar built machine. You can see, just behind the fuel tank, a deck lift/suspension spring, so there's likely a deck still attached to it that can't be seen. Yazoo used fuel tanks shaped like that. As to the little yellow machine...I have no idea! It appears to have a steel pan seat on it also.

Now that you mentioned it, I do remember seeing pictures of mowers with fuel tanks like that. And I see the mower underneath now, too. Thanks for pointing all that out. Do you have any idea what make and hp the engine might be?

I'm gonna toss a guess that it's a Briggs, but no idea on the model #. It's a biggun though! In it's day likely rated just 10 or 12hp, but today would rate FAR higher.

I bet it would have some pretty good lugging power. I wonder if it's salvageable. I'm going to try to pay the guy a visit, next week, and see if he'll let me take a look. If he doesn't mind, I'll take the camera for some close up pictures.
I just went out to check and see how the garden is drying up. Couldn't resist taking another look, over the fence, at the engine. The sun was shining bright, and I could see the sparks plug(s) on top of the head... there's 2 of them! I took another picture, but the plugs didn't show up in the photo.

I just looked at the photo on this post. All the vines make it pretty hard to see but, if you look at the head, you can see one of the plugs. Then if you look close, just above the black nob on that control lever, you can make out the top of the boot on the second plug.
Bill, being a twin, then most likely it's a Wisconsin THD or TJD. Really hard to tell from the pic, but an inline twin spells Wisconsin. The TJD I stuffed into my Bush Hog JBI came off a Yazoo 3 wheel mower. BTW...parts for the Wisconsin THD or TJD are easy enough to get.
I was kind of thinking that you might be saying that. Now I really want this engine!:bounce::bounce:
Bill, did you go talk to your neighbor yet?
