i'm looking for a source for either to rebuild or have a rebuilt one to purchase. anybody know of a good place? the ones here no longer do repair on these.
bj no longer does this type of work.. they sold all their parts and such a while ago. i also talked with the guy who built them at eaton. looking for a 100% rebuild or a rebult one. i might need parts in the rear as well.www.bjhydraulics.com I have talked to the old man/BJ and he was the one who built the first two Eaton 12s.
What are you looking at to be done to it just resealed or a 100% rebuild were all worn parts are fixed aswell.
PM the guys name to me as well, please. My 1886s tranny makes the pedal "shudder" when I press it to move forward or backward... a friend who rebuilds hydros for the city says that there's fluid leaking somewhere and causing some type of back pressure...I'll PM you a guy I know in NJ who rebuilds them, he may even have a rebuilt one on the shelf.
