Greetings fellow GT men- I have been trying to remove my MF10 streering wheel for weeks the conventional way with pullers. Then tried a 20ton press but that only stared to mushroom the shaft so I had to use a 4 1/2" cut off wheel on my grinder. Then used a cold chisel as a wedge to enlarge the opening. This worked great and only took a few minuets time, down side it wrecks the wheel (which was bad anyway). My question is has anyone found a replacement. I think that since this is a Ross streering system a Cub or JD should fit it. I did find a possible at Steinertractor.com. Part #IHS860

Whack them off! That's what I've done with last couple I've had. Replacement, don't know, but sure something is out there until the "correct Police" find you didn't use a stock one on rebuild. Heck with them, you'll find something that looks/works fine.

Well tractor police aside, I have to count the splines get an exact dia on the shaft. The photo on the Steiner web site sure looks like it's the same.
