Will the top links I see for sale at TSC work on a snapper 1855A? Also, where could I find the collars (?) that goes around the rock-shaft for a tl?

I have only seen one cat zero toplink there in a couple years. Do they more than one? Cat zero is the correct on for a snapper? The one I've seen there is probably for a small utility tractor, not a gt.

Guess I should ask, what is the correct one for my GT? Is there one brand better than another or more correct? I'm out on a limb here, I've never seen an original one so I'm shooting in the dark.

The Cat 0 links are smaller and shorter than a Cat 1. I have never seen more than 1 size in Cat 0 but there are 2 sizes in Cat 1. It may be possible to use the shorter Cat1 version with bushings on a Cat 0 hitch. You'd have to measure one to see. I would think that any Cat 0 top link would work. Perhaps someone with a 16/1855 and a Cat 0 could measure one for you.

I just remember the situation on these top links that you're looking for.

They are shorter than a standard Cat 0.

I'm assuming that the 1655/1855 3pt is the same as a 1450/1650 3pt.

My 1650 was missing the top link, and I used a Cat 0 top link, from

Northern Tools (I think). I shortened it by cutting a section out of the

body, welding it back together, and cutting the threaded ends too.

If that's the route you'd want to go, and can hang on until the weekend, I

can get you dimensions.

I'm pretty sure, that Bob has a supplier for OE top links.

If it is the 'short' Cat 0 (11 inches closed), it should work for you. That's what I am using on the FF's!
