There was an HD12 with front end loader on Facebook in Alabama for sale yesterday and everybody was offering trades and junk. I straight out offered the cash asking price but never heard back. I had a friend just 20 miles away to pick it up even. The post is gone today. Oh well....I tried.

Too bad Daniel.

What were they asking for it?

Man hate you did not get it, would have been a nice addition to your collection, noticed no serial plate on it. Do you think the rear pump setup is correct?
I don't know, but the lower PTO shaft was still in place, so it's possible, as it looked like a clean install.

Would definitely have been a good buy Daniel. Sorry to hear you weren't able to get it. Would be nice if the dude actually got back to you and let you know something.

I have recently been emailing back and forth with a customer service rep at Bush Hog hoping to find more leads on parts. She mentioned her son collects Bush Hog garden tractors and that her husband was going to pick up an HD-12 with a loader her son just purchased. She said they lived in central AL. I'd say there's a good chance it is the same one. That definitely would have been a neat tractor to have! Even when you miss out on a deal, it's still nice to know what happens with it.

That would be me. My mother has been with bush hog for over 30 years. One of my friends who lives next door in lowndes county told me Labor Day weekend that he knew somebody there trying to sell a bush hog tractor so I got his info from him. Got a picture of it and I knew it was the same tractor. As Daniel suspected he was trying to flip it for a good profit. After several days I called him and told him what it would be worth to me and made a standing offer and that I knew he had just bought it and knew the price. He called me back end of last week and we made the deal. He made some cash and I got a good deal too. Had dad pick it up but I haven't seen it yet. Has a set of weights and factory rear blade too. Will post pics when I can take some.

Well at least it found a good home! Sure would have liked to have gotten it, but I truly have enough going on without another tractor to work on.

I really didn't need another one either but since I didn't have one like it, it was in the neighborhood, and they aren't making any more of them I talked myself into it. That's why I made myself wait a little while before calling him to see if it would sell.
