Not quite done yet, have to drive 50 miles to get more paint. This is not a full restoration as mechanically she was already pretty good. I just learned how to move phone pictures to the computer so that's why this is so late getting here. Don Campbell, I wish I was as good as you at this.

Looks Great, what paint did you use? BTW does the rear fender pan of the Snappers and Massey's seem different? The Snappers seem flatter.

Thanks. Used Magic Truck, Tractor, and Implement in MF Red from TSC (Tractor Supply) and Dupli-coat Wheel Silver from O'Reilly's Auto Parts. All were spray cans. Never noticed any difference but it's been about thirty years since I was on the true Massey. This tractor is being "transformed" into a MF 1650 as a tribute to my Dad's (lost him to colon cancer about five and a half years ago). Still hope to get some actual use though.

I have a couple of good hoods for these tractors, if anyone needs one, I'd be willing to sell cheap, not sure what they would cost to ship?

Looking good. Quite the transformation.

It's exciting to see it come back together,

looking all new again, isn't it.

So, you'll be putting 1650 decals on? Have you sourced them?

Edit

Just saw your decal thread.

Like said, soap water is the trick.

Any tips on how you prepped it?

Sent from my 416-8
Putty knife, screwdrivers, knife then a light sanding where I could reach then wipe down. Same for the engine but Gunk then rinse first. Not as perfect as most guys that are collecting the full size around here. Best advice is go slow so you see more of what you're missing.

Ok down to some gluing and plastic weld on the console, decal applications, a tiny bit of touch up paint, new gas cap, and new hood support cable. :usa:

"The Beast" has a new name. I am now naming it "The Superior". No holes drilled for it, I used suction cups. The photos that follow should be self-explanatory. Just got the decals on and only lack a coat of clear in the next day or two and to decide whether I add the hour-meter. Oh and Dad's tractor will be in here with him on it.

Only a boom pole. Attachments down here are very rare, I have a tiller, and the original dump cart

and two blades one for the MF14, and the other for the 1650 and 1450 as well as 4 decks , one rear discharge
