All I know about is a blown head gasket. For a friend and just by the photo what price range should it be worth if that's only serious issue? Thanks

It would help if this friend would give some kind of testimonial as to type of service and storage history etc. How many owners etc. Just that usual kind of background of this particular machine .

Sorry, I just found out it's for my friend's cousin so I don't have any other into. Friend just said his cousin blew the head gasket a couple of years ago so could be warped head.

After sitting that long, the carb will definitely have issues as well as other things. Very hard to put any number on.

I mis stated that Daniel. I meant he put a new gasket on it a couple of years ago then blew the gasket again.

That's not a big deal, I'm sure the bolts were torqued incorrectly.

Whatever you do, make sure the engine has spark before you name a price. The cast iron engines used a solid state ignition unit that is pricey to replace. If it is not working, subtract $250 from the value right there. If it is working, you can know that you can get $250 out of that one piece even if the rest of the tractor is junk!

If it has spark and its in these parts, it's about 150-200
No spark and its 50 to 100
:ditto:

That's assuming there is no deck, or other attachments with it.

And as Ben said, the SSI is of key importance.

All in all, the tin looks good, the nose cone is repairable, and from what can be

seen, the rest of it is there.

Of course, it all hinges on what he plans to do with it. Restore, save, or work it.
