Hello been a while since I've been on but Im getting into the restore process on my 7 finally got all the sheet metal off now Im down to power washing and de-greasing . Im wanting to change the oil in the trans while it's tore down any you Massey guy's tell me what type of oil goes in the rear-end and also how much.....Thank You much for your help ahead of time :)

64 ounces is 2 quarts. That might be a bit much for a small transmission.

Anything lighter than 80w90 in a Peerless transaxle will cause leaks, but so will anything heavier... :rolling: 80w90 is the weight I use.

Well today I finally got after that trans oil change on the ole 7.....really wasn't bad at all took about a half hour to get two pints in it but it def needed it the old stuff I took out was black as coal and pretty slimy and while at it worked on the brake on her got that fixed so little progress is better than no progress for sure :rolling:
