Way Overdue Project Completed

Finally completed a long long overdue project. The Rototiller Model 2 in the photo on auto-pilot was my very first Troy Rototiller that I acquired. When I got it the engine had been replaced with a later model. The end of 1998 I got a correct Model 8 B&S off a Model 2 Rototiller from Ray's Mower Shop in Boyertown, PA. That was when you could go in the pull parts yourself. The motor was in bad shape, gas tank rusted through, stuck piston, bad exhaust valve seat, etc. It now has a .030" piston, new valves and exhaust valve seat, and a gas tank I picked up over the years with other parts I acquired. Finished the engine last year and finally got it installed this week. Time to put it to work and break it in. I got about an hour and a half running time on it today.

Very nice. I have a Rototiller 3 out in the shed that I've never tried to start. One of these days I might just try it.

I used to make extra cash in the springtime with my grandpa's old troy built horse. Nice little machine you have there.

My Troy Bilt has the 8 hp Briggs. Its all original purchased by a friend from the factory back in the early 80's. I rebuilt the carb 2 yrs ago. Still working hard. Glad to hear you put it back to what it was.

Very Nice! I have one of the small Jr. model Troy Bilts from the 80s. It's perfect for my small gardens. I didn't realize what I was missing until I got a rear tyne tiller.
