The reason I ask this question, the rule of thumb is 1" per horsepower. According to this http://gardentractortalk.com/forums/topic/51718-whats-the-real-story-on-tra-vs-tr-10d-interchangeability/ I have only 8.5 horses. I plan on going to plow day and I only have a 10" plow. Will this tractor handle it or should be looking for a 8" ?? Or use my Ford LGT125 which certainly can handle that plow. Was really hoping to try the Bolens out.

I have ag tires that will go on as well as the stock Bolens weights.

Look up plowing on you tube. I think you'll find answers on there. I think it will work. Some times it depends on the soil types and conditions.

I would imagine AG's would make a world of difference, more so than added weight. Power was never an issue and this is with a 10HP Wisconsin burning as much oil as it does fuel. I guess chains on turfs would be a good compromise.

I pull a 10 with my 850 so the 1050 will pull a 10...
