Which gear oil do I need for the transmission/rear axle for a Husky 800 and how much will it take?

Doc covered it well!Your going to need 90WT Gear oil.
Make sure you only use the "Old Style" Mineral Gear oil as the new Synthetic crap they use will not play nice with the bronze gears and bearings in your transmission.
It should take around 1/2 a gallon
If you haven't already, now may be a good time to check your rear axle end play while your working on the transmission.
