Just switched from Mint Olivia to Ubuntu 14.04. All seems well until I hit youtube. The video plays ok but then stumbles and it doesnt like to do full screen. Olivia was doing ok with youtube until a few months ago, then it started doing the same as this new version of Ubuntu. Am i running an OS thats too big for my system? Do I need to just use a different browser than FF?

Here is a screenshot of my comp details ATM.

The lite distro has gotten some really good reviews. Another option would be picking a distro that has LXDE or XFCE as an option for a desktop. Both are pretty lite on resources, But I think your best bet will be one of the distro's that specialize in older hardware with lite resources. Puppy, LXLE and Tiny core would be a couple of others. I've used LXLE in the past and it was very nice.

While that system is a little old, the biggest problem I see with your system specs is the limited RAM. Modern OSes want gobs of RAM. If you are comfortable doing the install yourself, crucial.com is a good source for affordable, quality RAM. Don't put more than 3GB in; the 32bit Pentium does not support any more than that.
