Picked this up today. I haven't found a lot of info on dating it. Could anyone point me in a direction?

That is a Wisconsin engine. It is a WICO mag. Looks like it could be an AKN eng but you'd have to measure the bore to be sure. the tag should be on the front of the shroud.

My luck, the Wisconsin tag is missing. I was hoping it could be dated using the WICO numbers.

You might still be able to date the mag by the numbers. Don't know if someplace like the Standard Magneto website would show the info or not.

Looks close to my AK, but could be other models as well, but AK, AKN or similar is my best guess, DougT, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the bigger BKNs had WICO's, as all that I have seen have Fairbanks magnetos on them.

I wouldnt completely trust it by the age of the mag because that can be changed.
