A while back I got an aftermarket coil for my '59 RAM, today I put everything together, had to lengthen the condenser and ground wires. All that is left to do is put the condenser on and add a new end to the plug wire, I have both parts and will install them soon. First pic is of the coil, second pic is everything put together. 3112-143548.jpg 3004-162254.jpg

Looking great. How long did the wires need to be to work?

Reason I ask is that whenever I sell these coils to a Kohler guy, that is the first question I get.

I added about 2.5" to the ground and 3.5" to the condenser wire not including what went into the butt connectors. Another tip, only expose about 5/16" of wire on the plug wire and make sure it is soldered well or it looses it's strength, had to solder it a second time because of this being careful not to heat the coil up.
