Painting has started but ran into a minor set back. It appears the matte black paint isn't actually what the cap shows. The paint dried to be very light & almost a gray. Why did I continue painting? Not sure, was hoping it would get darker.

I need to stop procrastinating and type out a spreadsheet of all the parts and misc items bought for the tractor. Maybe this weekend ill get it done.

EDIT:

The matte black paint is supposed to look like this.

Very nice, that paint has a heck of a shine. you did wind up using the tsc paint ? the only thing I can say about that paint is it fades really fast in the sun, I painted my daughters pedal tractor with it a few years back and over the course of two summers the paint on the hood faded to almost grey. held up really well and resisted chipping and scratching good.

Keep up the good work, and keep the pics coming.

yea I can't believe how shiny the paint is. I did end up using the TSC Majic Paint with Majic Catalyst Hardener. There is 2 heavy layers of paint on all the parts. I don't plan on using this tractor much once it's done. Looks too damn good haha.

That's the problem with restoring tractors, you do all the work and make it spectacular and then you don't want to use it. I restored a b-10 for my father last winter and was very clear to him when I gave it back that he had to use it or I would sell it !!!!! I cant not use my machines even if they area al restored, they were made to be used. keep up the good.

I absolutely can't believe what just happened. I'm at a loss for words. The gentlemen that gave me the LandLord was able to find the original snowblower for the tractor. It was hiding in one of his caved in barns. He told my grandfather and I to come pick it up.

The snowblower is complete and in very good shape. As far as we can tell, it only needs new belts and 1 new bearing that goes on the drive pulley.

current progress teaser. First time being out in the sun. I wanted to let the paint bake for a bit. Tractor supply had wheelbarrow tires on sale ($15 each) so I got two to replace the front wheels for the time being. The other tires needed new bearings and tires (rubber) but it's a little pricey.

Good to see it rolling again!

Does it matter what theme / color I use for wiring the tractor? Right now I only have yellow & purple wire spools. Those two colors may look odd.

Progress as of today (5/26/16). I was going to finish up but it's very hot out. Maybe tomorrow.
