With 2 storm systems sweeping across the country, just wanted to know who's ready for some seat time. We are going to get hit Tuesday and Wednesday with about 2-4'' On Tuesday and around 8-16'' by the end of Wednesday.

On Sunday I got all the tractors oiled up and topped off with gas. I'm ready

since 8" is typically a big snow around here, and forecast are ranging up to 18" just to the north of us at what point do you need to start think about shoveling off your roof?

I've read/heard we may get up to 1" of ice and the 8 to 12 " of snow.

Like Chuk said, I've heard snow (3" to 4"), the freezing rain (up to 1/2" here) then back to snow! Sounds like I may not be going to work if the ice hits early tomorrow morning. I hate to miss work, but I'm not driving on ice!

I hear you Steve,Ice is one of the few things that I don't like driving on either. That and I'm not too crazy about driving in whiteout conditions.Odd,because when I was younger,I would make a point to go out on the roads just to prove that I could.Funny how things change.

Most all will miss me but the rain. Like Chuck, Indy is supposed to get nailed with ice, then snow. No accumulation expected here, but we will get snow Wednesday, but the ground will be warm enough that it will melt almost instantly. You guys be careful!

I can't really afford to miss a day of work, but I'm pretty sure that death would seriously limit my future earning potential even more LOL!

Snow started here at about 5:30 am, just topped off the truck and got an extra 2 gallons for the snow blower on the way to work, could be an interesting couple days. Hope to see you all on the other side.......:D nobody buried in it, nobody hurt and all equipment still workin'

We got a coating of ice overnight. Just enough to make things nasty. I'll soon be leaving with my wife to have surgery on her ankle. They need to repair 3 fractures with some screws and plates.
Praying that all goes well and she makes a quick recovery.
We are suppose to get more ice tonight. Sooner have snow.

Put the chains on the JD 74-112 today! Normally don't need them for snowblowing, but we've got a very thin layer of ice under the snow that started this morning. Prediction is for 8-10" & high wind here by tomorrow, then really cold for a couple of days. ~~ grnspot110
